Boys will be boys!

Yesterday I got my hands on the fabbo monthly kit from my workplace, Craftwork Cards!!!
This months project has been designed by Debbie (who I made the card for in my previous post!!). She has done a fabbo job, I Love em!

It is a project for mens and boys cards which most of us crafters will admit to struggling with so I thought I would get it to inspire me!!!

IT IS FAB!!! Enough stuff in there to make 2 of each design, so 10 cards altogether. Fab quality cardstock, also comes with envies too!!
Anyways here are the 5 different cards you can make, I cannot take any credit for these I just followed the instructions!!!!

Tag card made by covering chipboard tag.

Shirt card, very quick to do but very effective!

Train card which I have adapted slightly by cutting out 1 TODAY on my cricut (this is not included in the kit) The train has been cut in half and a concertina panel added (see below) which makes it into a very special card, you could even add photos!!

Inside of train card

Funky star/circle card

And finally a lovely wellybob!!!
The papers used are Daisy Buckets which are also available to buy individually at CWC!!
Thanks for looking

Naughty blogger!!

Where does the week go????

With working 2 jobs and one thing and another the weeks are just passing me by at the moment!!!

I am busy with wedding stuff but did make a card on Wednesday for the lovely Debbie at Craftwork Cards as it was her birthday. Debbie is a very talented card maker (look out for her cards in the next issue of Simply Cards and Papercraft) so I had my work cut out. Making a card for a card maker is not easy!!!!

  • Scallop Squares from CWC
  • Stamped with Stampin Up Simply Said and Polka Dot Background stamp
  • Butterflies from CWC
  • Sentiments from CWC
  • Blooms from a kit from Rebeccas Scrapbooking Stash

Thats it for today

Wishing you a Happy Easter

Sport Relief mile!

We did it !!! Me and my hubby and boys ran the Sport Relief mile this morning.
It was freezing, I had sinusitus but so what, compared to the things I witnessed on the TV on Friday night my things are so trivial. Please please donate to this worthy cause, so many different charities benefit from the money raised.

This is me (in the GAP top) with my eldest son, Ross, we were near the finish line here!

My hubby and youngest, Evan (in the grey tops), they were a bit slower than us!!

This was everyone at the start

Us with our numbers on before we set off!!!
Next stop London Marathon. Ha Ha

Same order - another card - another first!!!

The lady who wanted the First Birthday card also wanted an anniversary card for her brother and his wife to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
I got my inspiration for this card after seeing a fab card on the lovely Monicas blog

  • Card blank from CWC
  • Background paper is Sandylion
  • Ruffle from CWC
  • Stamp is from Stampin Up's Simply Said set
  • Printed text and then matted with Bazzill Bling
  • Tied a double ribbon and threaded tag with date on
  • Gems by Papermania

Close up of how I did the tag
I suppose I can enter this into the Cute Card Thursday challenge too as its another "first"!

Cute Card Thursday!

I forced myself to craft last night, don't usually have to resort to force but I had 2 card orders to fufil!

I had been asked to make a special first birthday card for a little boy from his parents, so no pressure!!!! I decided to make a 3 fold card tied with ribbon to make it extra special

  • 3 large scallop squares (CWC) tied with grosgrain ribbon
  • Background paper by Papernation
  • Decoupage Papernation (only used bottom layer)
  • Text on PC
  • Stars from CWC
  • Middle background embossed with Cuttlebug

Close up
As this was for a "first" I thought I would enter this into the new challenge site Cute Card Thursday

Hope you like

Feeling human again!!!

Well, what a week!!!
Apologies for no updates!!!
I started feeling poorly on Sunday evening and by Monday was fit for NOTHING!! I have had this flu virus thing that has really knocked me for six. I am not poorly very often but gosh I made up for it this week!!
Done a lot of sleeping and had lots of baths and lemsips and today am feeling a little bit human again!!!!!
Lots of catching up to do, so will start with my blog!!
I was tagged last weekend by Tara

In 1998 I was working at Halifax Direct had been married for 2 years and we were thinking about trying for ur first baby. Ross arrived the year after!!!

This time last year I had recently started card making and was trying to sell my cards, I havent looked back since!!! Was also rehearsing for the once in a lifetime show We Will Rock You that I performed in, in July 2007

Not really a crisp person, so Cadburys Whole Nut, grapes, nuts, biscuits and strawberries

I would buy a bigger house nearer to better secondary schools, fly first class to Florida, put some money away for university for my boys, buy a new car and spend loads on craft.

Making cards, performing in musicals, watching Strictly Come Dancing!, being a Mum and having a good laugh!
Grolsch bottle tops on my shoes, Jelly Bean shoes, jumpsuit, batwing jumpers and maternity clothes!!!!

Laptop, Sky +, Cricut, Cuttlebug and my Baby Annabelle (joke!)
Most people I know have been tagged so I will leave it there!!
