Mojo Monday challenge

A bit late in uploading today!!! I had a very long day yesterday travelling down to Stampin Up HQ, I set off at 6.30am and finally made it back to Lincoln (where I was spending the night) at 11.10pm!!!! We sat on the M1 not moving for 1.5 hours which wasn't very pleasant!!!!
Anyway onwards and upwards, here is my card for the Mojo Monday challenge
I also have my own Monday challenge within my team (Julie's Jems) and I make a card every Monday with a set I have either not used before or very seldom use!!! SO this is my Motivate Monday card, its late this week as I kept forgetting to photograph it!!!!
The stamped image is from the Fun and Fast notes set, very versatile set which you can use for all occasions!!! I have coloured this in with my marker pens.
Papers are my all time favourites, Sweet Always, just love them!!! The sentiment is from the Best Yet Level 1 hostess set.

Chocolate chip ribbon tied in a scrummy bow to finish it off!!!!
So yesterday I went to some Stampin Up training, lots of good things will be happening I am aure this year as we move forward. Sale A Bration has been very popular and don't forget it is still running until the end of February. There are rewards for everyone, so if you are thinking of signing up to become an Independant Demonstrator please get in touch with me for more infomation!!! My team has grown to 9 this month (inc me!) and we are a very friendly bunch, if a little crazy at times!!!
Have a great Sunday

Card orders

I have a few regular customers for my cards, I mainly focus on my wedding stationery these days but like to help out my regulars!!

I make cards for a lovely lady up in Kendal and she likes the A5 size with peoples names on. She usually sends me a batch at a time like 4 or 5 but last week she had gone through her birthday book and sent me a list of 21!!!!!!!!

I have only had chance to make this first one as it was quite urgent!
As you can see its for a guy called Phil!! Who is 21 believe it or not!!!! I used Chocolate Chip card base with Spiced Cider papers and cut out his name with Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip. I have stamped the faithful beer mugs from Cheers to You and cut out some stars with the Star punch which is becoming a firm favourite for male cards!

Bit of doodling detailing on the stars.

She mailed me this morning to say it had arrived and that she loves it !!! Phew - 1 down , 20 to go!!!!!

The sentiment is from the Starring You set of 4 stamps, great for boys cards. I have punched the stars out in Tempting Turquoise and then stamped the smaller stamp from the Starring You set and layered it up.

Penny Black Challenge

Here is my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, the challenge was to use a frame on your card. My friend Anna lent me these Circle Nestabilities, I have never used them before but managed to make a frame with them and think I may have to make a purchase!!!!!
This card is for one of my son's to give his Dad for his birthday or Father's Day which are only 1 day apart!!!!!
Products are from Stampin Up, the papers are Spiced Cider, and the Dad has been stamped with Schoolbook Serif Alpha, I have doodled with the Choc Chip marker and the frame is cut with Choc Chip. Stars cut out from the same paper range with my Star Punch and I have used a Close ot Cocoa button and tied a cute little bow through it with the linen thread, pinched this idea from my fab downline Jeannette. Thanks love! Old Olive in a knot finishes it off!!! Oh and the image has been coloured in with my inkpads. All products are available through me!!!

Right will put it away until June now!!!

Three Fold Baby Girl Card

I was asked to make one of these style cards for a lady who I had made a card for like this previously. I havent done one for a while so it made a nice change.

I have cut out 3 tag styles pieces of card, layered them with Scallop edged papers and typed the details of the birth of the baby onto pearlescent white card and chalked the edges.

Daisies punched out with my little retro daisy punch and the cards all tied together with pink and white ribbon.

Hope you likey!

P.S I did post this earlier with an altenative added in the middle and I didnt like it so I have covered it up with the image of the little baby, stamp by MAMBI and used the Scallop Circle Punch!

I have used my precious hodgepodge hardware with some rhinestone brads. The spots are stamped with the Polka Dot background stamp. Colour Combo is Pixie Pink and Basic Black.
Sorry for the rushed post, I am shattered!!

My little bit of heaven!!!

I have been asked by a few people to show pictures of my little craft room. Before I show them I need to explain a few things!!! LOL!!!

  • This room is only 9ft by 6ft
  • It used to be Evan's Nursery so hence the lilac and turquoise!!!
  • I do all my wedding orders from in here so I have a LOT of stuff for a very small space

Ok then, here goes!!! This is my Stampin Up area!!! My drawers and caddy are sat on a cupboard which is built in and we used to use this area as a "changing" area for Evan!!! Most of my stamp sets are in the plastic drawers from Asda. The others than won't fit in are on the shelf above. In my really useful boxes are my wheels and various ribbons. As you can see I have the Ink Caddy and the Embellishment caddy!

Another view!

OK, here is the mess!!!!!! This is my desk (obviously!!!) It is from Ikea, the shelf bit clamps onto the actual desk. In the middle section I have my Stampin Up card and bits and bobs in the spotty boxes. To the left (above my laptop) are some very useful card storage holders on which my card for my weddings rests. To the left of that is a large Ikea bookcase with loads of bits and bobs on it!!! As you can see the window sill doesnt escape!!! It has all Ikea little tubs with various things in!!!

This is the other side of the room, I have a smaller bookcase with my printer on and various 12x12 in Really Useful boxes and then some wonky shelves that my husband put up!!! With my Stampin Up ribbons strung onto pieces of card and hung on nails!!!! LOL

So thats it, its small and sweet and very cluttered, but its all mine!!!!

Papers are from Craftwork cards and I have cut out the 30 on my Cricut using the Alphalicious cartridge.
The card is for a girl called Georgina but she likes to be called George in case you were wondering why it is pink!!!! George is cut out with the Alphalicious cart too.

Diamantes and Stampin Up Pink taffeta ribbon added to finish it off!!
Hoping to have a card marathon tonight as I have given my craft room a huge tidy up!!

Sketch Saturday

Here is my card for Sketch Saturday, I was determined not to miss this as I love the Sketch Saturday challenges and have done quite a few of them now!!
I know quite a few people who are pregnant, including my little sister so I thought I would make a baby boy card. I have used the Nursery Neccessities set for only the second time!!!! Shock horror!! I think I have had it since November!!!
The background paper is Certainly Celery designer paper and I have used the Bashful Blue designer papers too along with a bit of Barely Banana thrown in! I have stamped the little heart from the Big Bold Birthday set as a background on the circle and decoupaged the little sails on the boat.

Finished it off with the Circle of Friendship set and layered up with various circle punches and the scallop edge punch.

Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge

At last I have a photo of my card!!!!!!
This is a card for the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge which is to make a card for a New Baby, Mum to Be or a Pre-schooler.I went with the Pre-schooler and made this for my friends baby who will be one in a few weeks.
I got the idea for this card from one I saw on Spiltcoast stampers and changed a few bits around like the size and some of the layout.
This is the first time I have used my Wild About You set which I actually got in December!!
Its a great set for kiddies cards! I have decoupaged the lions mae which I relly like. The colour combo is Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Barely Banana.

I cut out the squares on my cricut and then punched out the layers with the scallop square punch. I have used Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon with Blue gingham overt the top. Stamped the number 1 with the Schoolbook Serif numbers set and punched out and layered up with my scallop circle punch. The paper is Certainly Celery designer paper which has been retired but is still available whilst stocks last. To finish it off I have added some dots of blue stickles.

Hope you like it, I have a card ready for tomorrow for Sketch Saturday challenge!

Cupcake Class!

Today was my Cupcake class, I have been planning and looking forward to this since before Christmas!!! Now you have to know that I LOVE cupcakes!!! I like to eat them (not good), I like to make cards with them and I like them as decoration as I like retro trendy things!!!

Now this is going to be a long post and I apologise!!!!! I have had a lovely afternoon with 6 other lovely ladies. I baked Cupcakes last night and we partook in one with a lovely cuppa!!!

Here is my favourite cupcake book!!!

Here are the little beauties complete with a Malteser on top!

I even had Cupcake coasters and check out the Cupcake table cloth!!! Yes I am Cupcake Crazy!!!!

Here are the cards we made, first one is a DL size, I did this size on purpose as I always opt for square cards so thought I would go long!!!!

The cupcake has been paper pieced onto Sweet Always designer paper and layered onto Chocolate Chip card, bit of doodling and a malteser on top!!!

Next up is a Cupcake shaped card covered in Sweet Always papers and then I have concertined the paper to make like a bun case at the bottom, A rhinestone brad holds the sentiment in place.

We decorated the inside with a tiny cupcake!!!

Next up is a desktop calendar. I got the style of the calendar from my upline Monica when she initally used the truck from Loads of Love, I thought a cupcake would look fab on the end so adapted it. The flower is stamped with the Sale A Bration set Polka Dot Punches and punched out with the 5 petal flower punch

I had a prize draw and gave away a Polka Dot Punch stamp set tied up with gorgeous Choc Chip Double Stitched grosgrain!! The lovely
Diane won it and she was so chuffed bless her!!

Talking of Diane, here she is with Vicky, they are concentrating from the look of this!!!

And here is the aftermath!!!!

I really enjoyed it girls, thanks for attending, hope I inspired you and please check out my sidebar in the next few days for more classes over the next few months!!

Sugar Bowl Challenge Number 2

I made 3 cards last night at my crafting session with Anna and they are all for different challenges so watch this space!!!
The challenge was to use 3 different papers and 3 different embellishments, no more, no less!!

For the papers I have used the Tea and Crumpets pink paper for the main background, the spotty paper is Chocolate Chip Designer papers and the floral papes is from Sweet Always. All Stampin Up products and all available through me!!
The stamp is Picking Apples which my fab downline Steph sent me. I have coloured it with the Stampin Up Inkpads and an Aquabrush.

For the embellishments I have used some Choc Chip ribbon, a jewelled brad and a flower from the Pretties Kit, again all by Stampin Up.

I love the sentiment "a friend is someone who makes it easy", its from the Simply Said stamp set.
Hope you like it! I will be back tomorrow with another card.
Whilst I am on I just wanted to say well done to Marlene who is another of my fab downline for being a fantastic cardmaker and for getting herself a trip to Orlando with the Sugar Nellie team, you so deserve it Marlene, well done.

Trio of Cupcakes (in the dark!!!!!)

Morning, would you believe me when I tell you I have just taken these photos are 9.30am!!!!

It's such a dark dismal day here, it looks like I took them at midnight!!
I am adament to post every day so have added them but will probably replace them tomorrow if its brighter!!!!
I have decided to make a few small cards to always have to hand. I always need to send little cards out to my team of ladies to say "thanks", "well done" etc... so these will fit the bill!
They are all made with Sweet Always papers and the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp (can you tell this is my favourite set!!!) and I have used my scraps of paper up!

The card above had Sentiment from Sincere Salutations and I have used the Scallop Edge punch.

Card above includes the With Love sentiment from the Sale A Bration set "Yummy", yours free for every £45 you spend with me!

The last one incorporates the gorgeous flourish from the Yummy set again along with the With Love sentiment.
Having a crafting session at Anna's tonight so hoping to get lots of cards made!!!
